February Vogue looks good with Taylor Swift on the cover!

Magazines were slightly shier about putting Taylor Swift on their covers last year after she turned out to be the worst-selling cover girl of 2010. But hey, New Year, new chances! Swift's February Vogue cover, shot by Mario Testino, surfaced on The Fashion Spot this past weekend. Both Swift and Adele were rumored for Vogue's March cover (traditionally a much meatier issue than February, content- and ads-wise), so this ups the stakes for Adele getting that one.

The Question of Wearing Fur

Is it Beautiful, Covetable, Acceptable or Unethical?

Should the fashion industry hang its head in shame due to the way many, are not only buying more fur but seeing it on models and other pedestrians and coveting it to the core? If you haven’t noticed, fur is not something to fear wearing anymore.  In the streets of London (UK) it has made a tolerated comeback and taking center stage.  Even decent, normal women who are prestigious are wearing this once sworn at luxury, so what?  Have animal rights groups failed in bringing home the message that the practice of taking fur from undisturbed animal nature a vicious attack that leads to untold myriads of other indecent and obscene inhumane behavior? Does taking the precious and valuable fur coats off of wandering animal life an act of intense violence or another way to make a living in the fashion industry? How come so many individuals love rabbit fur and all other kinds of fur inside or out of a designer coat? Can animal rights prevail in this constant battle between the masses of fur traders and animal lovers? How can they stop the carnage and assaults that make humanity fear animal life could be destroyed over our pitiless love of expensive fur coats, fur vests, fur jackets and other accessories? Is there going to be a time when life goes on without the trimmings of beautiful fur coats, fur jackets for sale, hats and other things necessary to stay warm in winter and look great?

Due to the absolute love of fur and the fashion industries hatred of animal cruelty, yes, animals are being protected but naturally they are always going to be wanted for their fur whether it is cruel or not!  Fur is back and many furriers really know how to catch these adorable creatures for their locks of valuable fur.  Many will be protected but the reason why there is such a plea to stop this is because fur (by design) has a way to interlope itself into what others describe as "luxury" and "haute couture" or "high-end" fashion wear. Therefore, some if not all pursuers of this most comfortable luxury will fail at not being protective and let their indulges escape them, putting major strain on the population of furry animals (of the world and nature) while causing complete carnage and violence to heighten and remain a focal point in the business of fur trading. If these facts are creating a frenzy to stop what is already in motion with a concern that won't outlast what is being captured, then we may as well have what it is (fashion) we are looking for and throw caution to the wind! Or, maybe we should have a talk with our local furrier to help choose how artificial fur can be made while developing various textiles of valuable class for it, instead of continually man slaughtering the animal kingdom for our fashion tastes, whims and conceit!

Huge new home

Thanks to Lemuel Craft

My husband and I just bought a fabulous new home. I honestly think I could be on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. It is that wonderful. My husband recently got promoted to CEO of the company and it has a lot of perks, including the new pay raise. The house is stunning. The pool in the backyard is amazing. I have never seen a pool that beautiful, but still very fun. We found a state-on-the-art ATL home security system to install. It just makes the house that much better. We are able to see our front door through a camera. This allows us to actually see who is ringing the bell. We are also able to control everything in the house through one touch screen panel. It is amazing what modern technology can do. I can’t wait to throw my first party and show off the house. I am sure that sounds very superficial of me, but at least I am being honest. Hopefully my need to show it off will wear off and I won’t come off as a creep, but right now I am just so excited.
